The domain encompassing the essence of the human spirit, fervent aspirations, the divine influence of the Holy Spirit, and the mastery of self-discipline.Following the descent, the human soul transitioned into a conscious state characterized by opposition. Prior to this descent, there existed a state of complete harmony within the conscious realm of existence. When I refer to this opposition, I am alluding to a relational aspect. The fundamental essence underlying the emergence of this opposition lies in the concept of control.
As believers, we have surrendered control to Christ, although our newly formed will remains tainted by corruption. In our actions, the will of God and our own will are intertwined, with our will not inherently sinful and not separate from the influence of the Holy Spirit. While our human will may be flawed, the spiritual goodness of Christ guides our actions, yet it is ultimately us who are responsible for our choices.
As believers in this world, we continue to exist in a state of conflict. Our innate desire for control drives our actions, stemming from the sinful nature that seeks to dominate us. However, it is important to recognize that the desire for control is not inherently negative, and it is not necessarily unethical to exert control over others.
The fundamental essence of our primal longing lies in the pursuit of control. As devout individuals, our volitions are rejuvenated, aligning with the divine will of God; however, they become tainted as they arise from within us. Thus, the entirety of human strife originates from this seed of control, as we engage in an ongoing battle for dominance with each passing moment. It is crucial to note that this inclination towards control is not inherently erroneous.
Indeed, a significant portion of our spiritual development is deeply ingrained in the acquisition of mastery over the innermost core of our volition. I will have to address this further at a later time.
