You possess a truly inspiring demeanor. Our desires, which serve as the driving force behind our choices, cannot be cultivated or achieved solely through our moral capabilities. It is our desires that ultimately determine our actions. When individuals succumb to excessive and unrestrained desires, they become slaves to their own lust. The inherent depravity of humanity is an unavoidable reality, with only God possessing the power to both prevent and facilitate the fulfillment of our strongest desires. We are reliant on God's sovereign intervention as we strive towards personal salvation. The challenge lies in the fluctuation of our desires, as we are sometimes inclined towards sinful behaviors and at other times towards virtuous actions. Hence, we find ourselves engaged in a constant struggle to suppress worldly temptations through the guidance of the Scriptures and the influence of the Holy Spirit. These desires are a result of the transformative work of the Holy Spirit during our spiritual rebirth and ongoing journey of sanctification. Our sanctification begins definitively at the moment of salvation and continues to evolve on a daily basis. We direct our focus towards Christ, who embodies righteousness, and endeavor to cultivate growth in our understanding and practice of His grace. The Scriptures serve as a defining force for our inner self, renewing our mindset and protecting us from falsely believing in our own righteousness through personal effort alone. We do not seek to simplify doctrines so that we can comprehend them better. God, in His revelation, commands us to believe and advises us to listen attentively. When we listen, we are compelled by His love to desire Him, grieve over our own sins, and let go of our pride. This feeling of being confined is a natural part of our spiritual growth. God prevents us from straying off course by surrounding us and directing our focus solely on Him for the solution to our narrow-mindedness. When we cry out to Him, He hears us. He intends for the church to be a source of healing for our fears, through the manifestation of spiritual gifts and a collective effort to overcome our selfish desires. Without understanding the significance of suffering in Christ's death, we cannot fully participate in the fellowship of that death and receive the healing gifts. The church must not be misled from the simplicity found in Christ. Engaging in intellectual debates and discussions about trivial matters like emerging trends only hinder the process of deepening sanctification within the body of Christ. It is important to preach the word consistently, regardless of the circumstances.
