He communicates these commitments through covenants and decrees. He has even gone as far as sealing His promises with His own blood. When the Psalmist shares his struggles or asks for guidance, it is not based on his own interpretation of the situation or the apparent fulfillment of God's promises, but rather on God's standard of impeccable transformation. Therefore, the Psalmist expresses both his hardships and his moments of joy through desires that may not be easily comprehended.This is the reason why the Psalms transcend the mere personal challenges faced by the king. These human responses are simultaneously comprehensible and enigmatic. When the depths of my spirit wane, it is you who possess an understanding of my path.
