Salvation is a valuable gift bestowed by God, whose selection is solely at His discretion. Those who are saved are believed to have been chosen before the world began. We cannot earn God's favor through our own efforts. In our natural state, we are inclined to reject God and remain spiritually lifeless. It is only through the gift of new life that we can come to believe, and even our belief is a result of God's grace. In the process of salvation, we play a passive role while God takes on an active role. The love between God the Father and God the Son is the foundation of our loving God. Christ entered the world with the purpose of fulfilling the Father's will, which He accomplished flawlessly and in perfect alignment with the Father. This love was demonstrated on the cross, as the Son willingly surrendered Himself to the Father's will, showcasing the utmost act of love. This divine relationship takes precedence over our reception of salvation, which is the secondary relationship. By being in Christ, we become partakers in the love that the Father has for the Son. Our salvation is entirely dependent on the Son, from its inception to eternity. Those whom the Father has given to the Son are secure and cannot be lost. If we were to be separated from this relationship, it would contradict the very nature of God. Such a separation is inconceivable! The contemplation of the eternal sonship of God fills me with immense love and gratitude. I am cherished not for my own righteousness, but for the righteousness of the Son. This realization brings a profound sense of liberation. To be embraced by the Father is the ultimate source of joy. May the Father speak to us and affirm that we belong to Him. Save us completely, for the sake of Your glory. Amen.
