The concept of control poses a formidable and profound challenge for us to relinquish in a rational manner. I am of the conviction that the teachings of the gospel implore us to surrender control, thereby enabling our hearts to consistently respond to God's presence in a manner that exalts all aspects of existence. The apostle asserts his transcendence over all external influences, perceiving everything as bestowed upon him by the divine. Hence, it is possible for us to attain a state in our lives where we are no longer subject to the psychological shortcomings stemming from anxiously reacting to circumstances driven by fear, sorrow, anxiety, and pain. The gospel serves as a guiding force that liberates us from the confines of a restrictive environment, leading us towards a vast expanse of possibilities. Within us lies an innate longing for freedom, which is intricately tied to our instinct to endure and persevere. Consequently, our inclination to exert control over our lives is not inherently natural, but rather stems from a flawed perspective and a lack of understanding regarding its detrimental consequences. It is vital to recognize that God alone possesses the ultimate authority, as He orchestrates the restoration of all things and safeguards us from the ultimate devastation brought about by the consequences of our sins. Hence, our inclination to sin can be seen as a means of self-preservation, and God, in His mercy, acknowledges and accommodates our vulnerabilities. The gospel serves as a guiding force, liberating us from the confines of a constricting space in which we feel trapped. This process can be likened to the finesse of an art form. In our interpersonal interactions, we tend to act based on our individual perspectives in order to navigate through life's challenges. Consequently, we often find ourselves resisting one another, gravitating towards the paths that offer us the most comfort. As a result, unity becomes elusive. However, it is through these moments of vulnerability that God imparts the valuable lesson that we are not in complete control. Despite the ongoing struggle of conflicting wills, I believe that God acknowledges and appreciates our sincere efforts.God bestows upon us desires with the intention of allowing us to find pleasure in the process of being transformed into the likeness of Christ. It is crucial to recognize that these desires become perilous only when we mistakenly fail to acknowledge them as gifts from God. This misconception arises from our inclination to believe that our own righteousness has earned us these desires. Consequently, if these desires remain unfulfilled, we may experience various psychological disturbances. However, when we truly comprehend God's nature, we are able to properly contextualize and comprehend these divinely granted desires. When we are able to perceive God's presence, our human anxieties and frustrations stemming from anger diminish. Instead, we gain a deeper comprehension of our own desires through witnessing God's justifiable anger. As previously mentioned, our anger is directed towards the confined space of our immediate concerns, whereas God's anger encompasses the vast expanse of larger issues requiring rectification. Consequently, our pursuit of knowledge and understanding is centered around aligning ourselves with God's intentions for our personal fulfillment, ultimately resulting in the cultivation of audacious faith rooted in biblical principles. The invaluable contribution he has bestowed upon us is the pursuit of unraveling the depths of a profound longing. I firmly believe that all forms of neurosis stem from a deep-seated resentment towards oneself. It emerges from a sense of frustration, burdened by feelings of insignificance or abandonment. It is within the absence of divine presence that we should find a heightened awareness of our desires, yet in mistakenly perceiving divine rejection, we redirect our anger inward. This is the underlying motivation behind our incessant desire for control.
