By prioritizing our volition, we inadvertently condition ourselves to rely on transient elements, such as empty promises and material possessions. However, to genuinely connect with others on a profound level, we must attain a genuine comprehension of ourselves, rooted in our understanding of God's plan for us and driven by our genuine desires. Failing to do so will result in a perpetual state of disconnection, akin to two passing ships in the night.This phenomenon stems from the inherent need of our souls to seek a connection with the Almighty. Failure to establish this connection will perpetuate a state of perpetual anxiety. Conversely, once we have successfully established a relationship with God, we have found our true purpose in life. Consequently, every individual who enters our lives serves a meaningful purpose, thereby preventing the thwarting or frustration of our desires. By recognizing that conflict arises from the dichotomy between placing trust in material idols versus placing trust in the divine, we gain a deeper understanding of our desires, rendering them impervious to the influence of our idolatrous society.
