The Psalms provide insights into the way God has ordered the universe. According to this understanding, God is the ultimate authority over the earth, acting as a judge and governor. Prior to the fall of humanity into sin, God had entrusted human beings with the responsibility of overseeing his creation. In a similar way to how God created everything through the power of his speech, humans possess a creative authority that enables them to bring order and harmony to God's creation by using his word. When the Psalmist refers to "praise" coming from the "lips of children and infants," he is using this concept as a metaphor for the ability of saints to communicate God's commands, curses, decrees, statutes, and covenants. This is an essential aspect of human artistry and enables saints to exercise their unique abilities to rule over the earth and distinguish themselves from others. The Gospel demonstrates a legal aspect that can be identified through the usage of the phrase "foe and avenger," which pertains to nations that resist God's established order. This order, which was established by God through His chosen offspring, has been present since the beginning of existence and encompasses all facets of governance, including the administration of both individuals and nations. Although God possesses ultimate authority, it is important to recognize that He has granted individuals with the ability to govern themselves. The difficulty in effecting change arises from our indoctrination with the concept of social order as the fundamental basis of the world, accompanied by a collective mentality of "one for all and all for one". This results in a sense of contentment with being constrained by the will of others, which prevents us from experiencing genuine freedom, as prescribed in the Bible. Nonetheless, the Psalms highlight the notion that every individual is their own master, which is evident in the creation of humans. God bestowed upon us the gift of creativity and honored saints as reflections of His own magnificence. This is exemplified through the depiction of God ceremoniously placing a sword on each of our shoulders. The Psalms suggest that God has the capacity to fulfill the unique desires of every saint, despite differences in their sovereignty and conflicting interests with others. Furthermore, God has the ability to reconcile these differences and bring about a sense of unity that leads to the highest form of pleasure. It is our belief that the alignment of saints desires with God's purposes, which are integral to the process of salvation, cannot be achieved through a simplistic approach. Rather, we contend that God has endowed saints with desires that are inherently harmonious with His divine purposes. By embracing our individual desires, we draw closer to a complete realization of salvation. It is important to note that this perspective is presented within an accurate contextual framework of the pronouncements.
