The accessibility of sin represents a deteriorating process in our Christian devotion. It is intriguing how we tend to revert to the familiarity of abiding by the law as our guide and visit some of our former sinful behaviors. At various stages of our Christian journey, we may succumb to boredom or complacency and derive a perverse sense of satisfaction from succumbing to guilt and reverting to a mindset of adhering to strict laws as a means of finding security, instead of embracing the freedom to fully surrender ourselves to the restorative power of divine grace. The presence of our persistent feeling of self-importance obstructs our capability to recognize the significance of modesty, resulting in our reliance on the judicial system and its penalties to obtain it. Our preoccupation with striving to humble ourselves by seeking to be accountable to an authority figure may be the underlying cause of apathy towards Christianity. It is evident that at times, our compliance with religious principles can have a profound impact on our emotional state, to the extent that we may feel compelled to seek solace solely in Christ. This phenomenon is characterized by a lack of internal struggle, which can ultimately foster a sense of self-importance rooted in complacency, resulting in a distorted self-perception and an adherence to a Christian automatic mode of behavior. As humans are bestowed with righteousness purely through grace, the act of simply having faith or finding solace in Him may be erroneously perceived as self-deception.It is apparent that there exists no instance where we possess the capability to gratify the Law Giver as we are incapable of completely loving Him with our entire beings. This incapacity arises due to the corruption that pervades every aspect of our being. It is important to recognize that verbal acknowledgment alone is insufficient. Instead, it is our responsibility to allow our hearts to be examined by our Father so that we may fully comprehend our own inherent flaws and shortcomings. By embracing this struggle, we can come to terms with our own guilt and culpability before our benelovent Father. It is of utmost importance to recognize that guilt is a weighty burden that can only be lifted by the benevolence of a Creator. On the contrary, some may endeavor to assuage their guilt by adopting a false sense of modesty and inflicting pain upon themselves, which can result in unhealthy inclinations. However, if we acquire a spiritual viewpoint regarding the condition of our hearts in relation to our Creator, we can live with the understanding that it is our duty to offer praise not only for the creation of the universe but also for the absolution that emanates from the same divine force that brought something into existence from nothing. The acquisition of absolution from a God is entirely subject to the volition of said Deity, encompassing the timing, approach, and potential for His bestowal. Consequently, any endeavors on the part of saints to merit such clemency are ultimately futile, such as acknowledging transgressions, engaging in supplication, demonstrating moral conduct, or withstanding allurements. Such conduct lacks the potential to effectuate a transformation in our spiritual state. The idea being expressed is that Christ undertook the responsibility of bearing the complete penalty for our wrongdoing, leading to us being weighed down by the shame, regret, and wrongdoing itself. However, we are advised to shift our transgressions onto Him and depend entirely on His actions for forgiveness. This pertains to the strategy utilized in overcoming the inclination to function on autopilot and neglect significant particulars.
