When examining emotions, it is imperative to recognize their significance in conjunction with the necessity for equilibrium in our existence. As saints possessing a comprehensive comprehension of spirituality, engaging in appropriate cognitive processing is crucial. Our cognitions have a substantial influence on our emotions, and it is beneficial to scrutinize our thinking patterns. Frequently, individuals encounter an array of thoughts varying from minor concerns to more detrimental tendencies such as desire or jealousy. Personally, I have dedicated a considerable amount of energy towards meditation and prayer, resulting in a transition towards a more deliberate thought process.Following uncontrolled thinking, an individual may exhibit unfavorable emotional dispositions and behaviors that lead to psychological distress. Nevertheless, by taking charge of one's cognitive functions and concentrating on spiritual endeavors, one can attain emotional contentment. The divine entity functions in collaboration with our ambitions and scriptural guidance to prompt us that our existence on earth is ephemeral, and it is our responsibility to decide to prioritize our spiritual development to discern the existence of God.The concept of sin is deeply ingrained in human nature and is closely linked to our mental constructs of God. Our sense of self is inevitably influenced by our self-esteem, which is often tarnished by sin. While we may acknowledge our transgressions, merely acknowledging them is inadequate in addressing the underlying source of sin. The writer of Psalm acknowledges the magnitude and overwhelming nature of their sins. They express discontent when confronted with the consequences of their actions, which originate from their involvement in sin and attachment to it.It is commonly perceived that the more we introspect, the more we become aware of our transgressions. Despite confessing and attempting to forsake these transgressions, individuals often fall back into the same pattern of behavior. This is because individuals possess a particular vice that is deeply ingrained within them, to the point where they may not even realize its existence. This vice serves as a source of comfort and self-assurance, allowing individuals to perceive themselves in a more favorable light.Scholars have noted that individuals who are generally virtuous can still fall prey to their sinful inclinations and become engrossed in trivial matters. This mindset, which involves self-reliance and indifference towards one's spiritual state, is indicative of arrogance and necessitates the need for mercy. The Christian faith emphasizes the importance of wholehearted devotion to God and the attainment of perfection. A mere confession of a few transgressions is inadequate and does not guarantee complete absolution. Rather, this perspective underscores the significance of genuine repentance and humility before God, without intending to patronize.Martin Luther engaged in prolonged confession of his sins, spending several hours seeking absolution from his priest. His rigorous approach to confession often tested the patience of his confessor, as he would continue to confess new sins even after feeling a sense of relief. This behavior is indicative of legalistic tendencies. There are hidden sinful ideosyncrasy that are concealed to protect our mental health. The difference between oneself and someone who behaves in a disturbed manner is that God does not allow individuals to see all the impurities in their hearts, as this could lead to their demise. It is by divine grace that one belongs to Him. The death of Christ on the cross was intended to forgive all sins, and this was a comprehensive act. A process is currently occurring where ones conscience is not judged because of the Lord's transcendence. Through hardship, ones flaws are becoming apparent, and  undergoing a purification process.
