Throughout history, the idea of salvation has been consistently framed within the context of a covenant, which places a heavy emphasis on relying on God's promises. It is hard to understand why someone would seek salvation if there were hidden conditions to receiving it, even with the gift of divine grace. Additionally, there is no indication that one must reexamine their initial beliefs upon encountering the gospel in order to prove their salvation is genuine. It appears that we hold a belief in an unblemished version of ourselves that remains elusive, leading us to question the genuineness of our initial declaration of faith. This preoccupation with the past detracts from our focus on the future. According to biblical doctrine, salvation is achieved through grace, which is received upon entering the path of salvation. However, if we harbor doubts about the legitimacy of our faith, we are advised to persistently remind ourselves of the grace we have received until we wholeheartedly believe it. Therefore, the act of incessantly scrutinizing ourselves is a product of our imagination. The root cause of disobedience is the lack of obedience. One must demonstrate obedience to the commands of the Lord to exhibit faith in Him. The foundation for this faith is established through a covenant that God forges with us. This covenant serves as evidence of His trustworthiness and loyalty to us. Nevertheless, God does not reveal Himself or His promises to individuals who do not acknowledge His existence. Such efforts would be fruitless. The proper way of placing one's trust in God originates from recognizing one's sinful disposition. Through an unwavering conviction in the potency of God's teachings and their manifestation in our beings, we attain a profound comprehension of redemption. Although our self-regard may not be entirely comprehensible, it is founded on the certitude of God's pledges and our identity as individuals who have been saved.
