In contrast, God has the ability to examine our spirits and perform spiritual operations similar to a doctor. Despite our inability to perceive our spirits as God does, we experience mystery that occur within us when we are filled with the word and Spirit. These feelings of peace of the Spirit serve as healing balms like a surgeon's scalpel, working on our souls to bring about spiritual healing during the appropriate time and necessary change.This is a place where saints engage in the practice of meditation, allowing for the divine to permeate their mind and body, and directing their love towards a singular God. This practice results in a cognitive exercise that transforms saints understanding of the God through a mysterious process that occurs independently of their own intention and effort. Through pondering the message of the gospel and the unconditional love of God, demonstrated through Christ's healing work on the cross, saints reach a state of rest in Christ. Their focus shifts towards the profound aspects of the Trinity, leading to a spiritual perspective on Christ's being.
