In contrast to the previous covenant, where assurance did not depend on adherence to ceremonial rules, we must establish a fresh methodology for validating confidence in contemporary conditions.Within the confines of the old covenant, the saints were tasked with adhering to the ceremonial laws, but it is important to acknowledge that the implementation of these laws diverged based on an individual's societal standing. As such, God's treatment of people was not uniform, and what may have constituted a transgression of the law for some may not have applied to others. Consequently, the expectations placed on the saints were not homogenous, necessitating a degree of discernment and comprehension of one's societal position. Notwithstanding the difficulties encountered, the saints were enjoined to diligently adhere to God's will and honor the covenant, even if it entailed bearing further hardships. Ascertaining with complete certainty the parties liable for the national catastrophes that precipitated the exile is an arduous task. The notion of redemption has always been predicated on the enduring patriarchal relationship between God in His role as a Father and His favored people.The physical markers of Jewish identity, including circumcision, birthplace, and temple attendance, did not serve as definitive criteria for divine election. This principle is demonstrated in David's worshipful expressions, as he directs his trust toward God alone rather than relying on any human or legalistic factors. David acknowledges that dependence upon circumcision, adherence to ritual observances, and national affiliation are not the ultimate grounds for his sense of security, but rather God holds the ultimate authority. He devalues these corporeal mechanisms as a means of exalting the supremacy of God.David comprehended that demonstrating his sincerity necessitated his acknowledgement of God's eternal nature, which necessitates salvation in accordance with His will, as He governs from His eternal throne. The individual in question experienced an assurance akin to the sensation of ascending a mountain or descending into a valley. This assurance was tied to David's perception of events as either blessings or curses in relation to himself.
