One may attempt to redefine the Holy Spirit in a manner similar to that of a witch doctor, in order to avoid the central theme of revival and reduce its significance. However, during revival, the presence of the Holy Spirit leads to a profound spiritual awareness of the various attributes of Christ, resulting in a powerful experience of His sweetness. In these moments, Christ is not just an abstract concept, but rather His work on the cross and His ability to overcome all resistance is tangibly felt. Christ, who is part of the Godhead, humbled Himself and took on human flesh, obeying the will of the Father, fulfilling righteousness, sacrificing Himself on our behalf, and now serving as the head of His Church. As our sole high priest, He intercedes for us before the Father. The concept of the potency of the Holy Spirit is prominent in revival. Individuals who encounter reviving are overcome by the Holy Spirit's presence and come to acknowledge their own limitations. They respond to this encounter with a sense of reverence and appreciation, acknowledging their unworthiness of such grace and compassion. During revival gatherings, there is a discernible sensation of the presence of Christ, which unites people and brings them closer to one another. Attendees frequently engage with the Bible and are deeply impacted by its enduring power. They also develop a newfound understanding of the authority of God and the significance of His sovereignty in their lives. The prevalent belief is that the Holy Spirit is generously providing grace to everyone, resulting in a joyful celebration of Christ. The enormity of God's love and the profound importance of His baptism are incredibly noteworthy. Even those who are experiencing sorrow are finding comfort in this spiritual renewal. There seems to be a widespread feeling of unity and an immeasurable amount of love.
