In order to have knowledge of God, one must first comprehend His nature through His written word. However, a proper understanding of His word can only be achieved through an apprehension of the propositional truth therein. The issue at hand is not the theological doctrine itself, but rather the misuse of it by individuals. To inquire if theology can serve as a deity is akin to questioning the sovereignty of God.The act of systematic thinking does not involve the creation of idols. Rather, it is an inherent component of this cognitive process to resist the type of thinking that is typical of humans in their state of sinfulness. Systematic thinking entails the critical examination of human thoughts and identifies the flawed cognitive process of those who rely solely on their own self-awareness as a source of truth. To achieve a significant transformation of the mind, it is imperative to have an unwavering commitment to frequently engage in the study of Theology. However, a common challenge arises when we misconstrue the essence of God's being and its correlation to our own identity. In such instances, we tend to interpret Theology based on our preconceived notions rather than allowing it to inform and shape our self-perception, which ultimately dictates our actions. In addition to studying theology, it is important to also engage in the practice of meditation on biblical teachings. This practice serves a dual purpose in shaping our mystical identity. As a Christian, it is understood that our experiences originate from within and manifest outwardly. Since internal workings cannot be observed directly, it is necessary to comprehend these inner workings, which are the focus of scripture, through the illumination and transformation of the mind.Solely concentrating on meditation would result in insufficient acquaintance with textual knowledge, while exclusively prioritizing theology would ultimately lead to a preoccupation with externalities, eventually devolving into a system of moralistic beliefs.
