As individuals who believe in Christ, it is crucial for us to understand that we are completely righteous. However, we must not disregard the presence of sin in our lives while we are still on earth. Occasionally, we may focus solely on Christ and neglect our sinful tendencies, leading to an intense inner struggle. This struggle is typically motivated by fear as we strive to maintain a positive self-image to fully comprehend Christ's power in our lives. Unfortunately, this approach can lead to self-deception where we convince ourselves that we are righteous by sheer willpower. This passive mindset may result in self-worship instead of worship focused on Christ. It is therefore important to acknowledge our sinful nature while also acknowledging the righteousness we possess through Christ. The crux of the matter is rooted in how we view God. We often confine our understanding of God's holiness to only moral aspects, thereby neglecting its significance as the foundation of all His attributes. This limited perspective results in the belief that in order for our worship to be accepted as a sacrifice, God requires a completely righteous individual. However, it is a mistaken notion that we must achieve absolute righteousness for God to welcome us during worship. God's assessment of us is not based on our moral equivalence, and He does not withhold His presence until we attain a state of flawlessness. Our perception of ourselves as entirely righteous does not align with God's holiness. The purpose of His holiness in His visit to us is to help us recognize our limitations in achieving perfection on our own. When we engage in worship with Him, we are not primarily consumed by guilt upon encountering His holiness, but rather by a profound sense of awe at the magnificence of God in His true essence. This overwhelming realization of His glory compels us to acknowledge our own inadequacy and surrender the notion of self-sufficiency.Possessing a positive outlook and a belief that diligent efforts will result in success is insufficient. Without a comprehensive understanding of the divine nature and attributes, particularly His holiness and magnificence, our comprehension of the Holy Spirit's ability to liberate us from our ceaseless desire through our own capabilities remains incomplete.Experiencing a profound demonstration of God's presence instills in us a sense of empowerment. This sensation of fortitude, coupled with the awe-inspiring holiness of God, facilitates our acknowledgement of our own limitations while simultaneously recognizing our capacity for growth through Him.The ultimate objective of engaging in worship is to achieve a state of liberation. The Holy Spirit serves to validate our welfare and uncovers our previous yearnings as being entirely materialistic, lacking the capacity to satisfy us without the influence of God and a comprehension of His sanctity. When the manifestation of God occurs, it results in the strengthening of our faith, impartiality in our love, and a heightened understanding of Him, ultimately leading to a supernatural sense of certainty. We come to the realization that in some instances, it is necessary to descend to great depths in order to experience the full breadth of His power through the Holy Spirit. This encounter with His holiness is the pinnacle of our spiritual journey.
