The love of God is far greater and more powerful than we could ever imagine or conceive. It is the source of all the good in this world, and it is so much greater than anything we could ever experience. This is why God's love is described in terms that compare the greatness of love to the size of the universe - because it is truly that vast and all-encompassing. Because God's love is always present where God is present, we are constantly surrounded by the light of God's glory. This is why we experience His love as something that fills us up and consumes us. There is no sorrow or darkness that can overcome the power of God's love.Since we do not have direct experience of the beauty and vastness of the universe or the glories of heaven, we must find a revelation of the love of God. Because God comes to us in our own skin, we can understand his love for us more fully. We understand that our individual selves are very small in comparison to the vastness of the universe. We also know that we cannot break out of the cycle of love and sorrow that we experience in life. However, if we had the strength and presence of mind to observe the truth about the universe, we would experience a greater portion of God's love. It is beneficial for us to turn to God for love and understanding because, with the Bible, we have access to a deeper understanding of God's love. Additionally, we have been given the Holy Spirit, who helps us to control our hearts and desires. This is a gift from God that allows us to focus on Him and desire to meet with Him. Rather than God starting with a list of demands, He gives us the ability to understand Him through His love for us. As a result, we can learn to love Him more deeply and desire to please Him in all that we do.Instead of God demanding that we love one another first, He loves us through others in order to display His love to others. We have a God who we are drawn to in order to be consumed by His love so that we might share this love. This is why salvation is in Christ alone, because there is nothing that we can do in order to say that there is something that we consider that is better than Christ. God proves that He is good enough to have no other rivals by loving us through others.This is why our desires are blessed. Because they cannot be thwarted. God has given us His love by putting in us a desire to focus on His love alone and to enjoy the blessings that come from His love. He has promised to love us first and He reminds us time and time again of the great love that exists between us. We cannot make an agreement with our sorrow to replace God's promise of this greater love with any other rival. The love of God is a never-ending source of goodness and life that comes from Heaven. It fills us with His goodness, as if we were enjoying a feast, and it flows out of our hearts and produces life, like a stream of water from a fountain. This is being raised up to reach the highest levels of experiencing God's love by looking upon the light of His glory.When we come to see God as the most beautiful and powerful being imaginable, we are overwhelmed by His glory. This fills us with His love and goodness, and we are transformed into His followers. This act of forgiveness is something that we are all naturally attracted to, something that is much greater and more pure than anything we could experience in this world.
