The doctrine of forgiveness helps us to understand that it is not just a way to get rid of the consequences of our actions, but as a gift that can lead to even more gifts. If we could earn forgiveness through our actions, then it would not be a gift at all. Christ tells us to come before Him boldly, which means that He is not going to reject us. This way, we can see forgiveness as a gift that opens the door to more gifts. Most people think that forgiveness is a means to an end, but in reality it is grace that cannot be earned through our actions. If it could be, then it would not be grace. Christ would not tell us to come before Him boldly if He was going to reject us.What other options for sitting on a throne are there besides the throne of grace? Is the throne of responsible behavior also an option? I mean, how can we bring something to a throne that is only given to us when we ask for it? If the throne of grace is what we want, then our acceptance is by grace before we go to the throne of grace. Because if grace is what we want, then as sinners we cannot be accepted by what we are in order to get something for free. That doesn't even make sense. What is the significance of the throne of grace? It is a throne from which gifts are given out of free love. The one who is giving the gift is offering it out of His free love. Otherwise, it would not be the right attitude in the transaction. So, it is not us who seek the grace, but it is He who is seeking us out of His free love as the one who gives it freely. That is what is different from gospel connection and the world's friendships. Gospel love is God seeking us going out and giving grace to the wandering sheep.Christ will separate those who have treated Him well from those who have not, based on how they have treated His other followers. Those who have been helpful and caring toward others will be rewarded, while those who have not sought out and helped those in need will be punished. This shows that when we approach God, He is actually approaching us with gifts and grace that we could not obtain on our own. This separation of the sheep and the goats is a demonstration of God's grace and mercy, and it is a reminder that we are to show the same grace and mercy to others.
