Love is not true love unless it is based on relationships and is under the control of God. Forgiveness is not real forgiveness unless it is based on relationships and is under the control of God. So God is saying that there is no anger that can consume a man, because if it is given to God, it will be consumed by God. In other words, if you give your anger to God, He will deal with it in a way that is just and fair.Now that, in understanding God's nature, we cannot be controlled by sin and death, is the ultimate love. God has made a way for love and hate to meet together, and has conquered death; but at the same time He must do the work in His time and His way, so we are always in danger of going faster than He wants.By understanding God's nature, we can better resist being controlled by sin and death. If we are able to take and use what God has given us, then we are free to receive it and be content in God, even if we feel powerless and reliant upon God. All that we have accomplished or will accomplish in our lives is only possible because God has granted us the capability to do so. Every positive attribute we have - strength, love, happiness, peace, compassion, faithfulness - is only because God has bestowed it upon us.
