In His wisdom, God created government to maintain order and peace in society. He has ordained the life of leaders, and the gospel of grace encourages us to surrender our desire to control others to God. The primary authoritative powers of rulership are God's alone. He is free to govern this world as He sees fit. If we worship God as sovereign and free, then we too are free. The gospel offers us free access to God. There is no excuse for us to usurp His authority. The gospel has released us from our own destructive desires to usurp God's authority and rule by destroying others. All of humanity's problems originate from taking our focus off of the primary functions that God has established for this world, and instead overturning the gospel of grace. Grace is simply waiting for God to act justly in the affairs of humankind. God has promised to take vengeance on the wicked, and grace is valuable because it allows us to trust that God will enact vengeance in His own time and in His own way. Grace frees us from thinking that we ourselves are gods. This is what we are saying when we talk about cheap grace. By "cheap grace," we mean the pride of man cheapens grace, but the primary focus is not on believers but on the wicked. The value of grace is that even though it weakens the powers of the righteous to act in vengeance, it is actually seeing God taking vengeance on evil. God will not allow man to act as God as the arbitrator. Grace funnels fascism into God's destructive vengeance. God destroys destruction.Grace is an important concept in Christianity, as it is seen as God's power to free humans from their sinful reactions to the evil in the world. Because of grace, Christians are seen as being in a position to receive and judge all things on the authority that Christ has received and granted. Grace is thus seen as a rich inheritance for Christians.
