The question of how punishment can bless someone is a central one in the context of curses. There is a clear dichotomy between living in a state of curse or living in a state of blessing, and the question is how can punishment fit into the latter category. If God curses all accusers, then how can someone who is blameless be punished?God has spoken and declared that all scripture is inspired and profitable. However, some people will teach that the profitability of scripture must go through our wills in order for it to be profitable. However, God does not sit idly by on His throne and watch the events transpire on the earth. Instead, He establishes His throne like He governs from heaven. Therefore, God establishes His throne by speaking absolutely at all times. The way that God speaks absolutely is to decree whatever comes to pass. God decrees whatever comes to pass through His laws, promises, statutes, curses and blessings. The curses are God's way of destroying the desire of the wicked. The blessings are God's way of establishing the way of the righteous through their desires.God provides success and destruction on this earth through His creative word. He simply opposes the desires of the wicked and provides all things to the righteous. The opposition is through cursing the way of the wicked. But the wicked curse the righteous and they curse God, so God must destroy their ways. How does God provide success and destruction on this earth? So when the Psalmist took part in the old testament battles, all of the Christian experience was in the context of conflict. The physical battles were fought in order for God to advance the cause of the righteous and bring to an end those who oppose the righteous. Why did God fight against the wicked? Because the wicked wanted to destroy the righteous and God.We are saying that there is a subtext to every conflict we experience in our lives. This conflict is over everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. There is no amount of discipline that is going to bring the sides together.Although only God can end a person's life and condemn them to hell, there is always a way to remedy the situation. This will be fulfilled in the final judgement. However, in God's eyes, the judgement is already final. Therefore, the curses have always been final. We see that God only blesses the righteous.
