The gospel is a promise of salvation. So we need to understand that the world cannot be fixed. There are those who are redeemed and those who are cast into a dark abyss without hope unless God intervenes to save them.It is our belief that we can help them by giving them a rope, but a wise man knows not to put his trust in man. When we are saved, we must realize that man is hopeless. no amount of learning will change that. True peace and prosperity can only be found by trusting in something other than man.The majority of the world's population is religious, and this is what we are deceived. We look at things on the outside and we take sides. We do not see the messy hearts and the deceptive thought processes of the workings in men. So we must understand fools reside in the religious environment. The theology of sin and curse is applied to the religious community in the vision of the dogs. We need to understand just because people attach themselves to a particular religious community does not mean they reason in a way that brings about redemption. This world is largely about people making arguments to God why they deserve to be part of a particular religious group. Many people will passionately defend their wrong beliefs, even to the point of death. But the righteous are known by their reliance on God, expressed through their words and actions. A spiritual person has developed their ability to discern right and wrong through exposure to sound doctrine. It is important to remember that simply because a society is religious does not mean that its members are automatically following wise counsel. In order for wise counsel to be followed, there must first be a fear of God. This fear manifests itself in a reverence for God and a willingness to listen to the voice of the shepherd. Only those who have entered into salvation can experience ongoing salvation. The voice of salvation tells us to continuously put our trust in a savior and to consider His love more important than our own lives. The Psalmist does not reason in balance between the right way to go and the wrong way. Or how a person prevents him from following Christ. But the Psalmist has his heart focused on God. He praises God all day long, prays for God to enable him, looks to God for His prosperity all day long. Listens to God through His word. The Psalmist extols God all day long, gives God his most trying circumstance and prays for deliverance from it all day long. This individual is fervently praying for a longer life, protection from harm, and trust in God – avoiding those who would encourage him to instead put his trust in man. If he hears the religious culture around him crying out that he should trust in God and let God deliver him, he instead turns and runs. This man will not let God go.
