The first verse of this Psalm properly obtain a private confession of rebellion. The sin of covenant unfaithfulness carefully puts this Psalm in proper context. Teaching indeed possible rebellion cannot curse considered saints. The sin of covenant unfaithfulness is ra a which is purposely left out by the Psalmist in the Christian context. Because recognized saints cannot practice violence even committing adultery and murder. He is deliberately considering a terribly grave offense without consequence when it is satisfied by imputed righteousness. Confessing sin grace for us, not moral satisfaction for God. The established fact that Psalmist leaves out the sin of ra a in Psalm 32 in the emphatic assertion that undoubtedly proves the specific point he inevitably makes in the concluding part of the Psalm but "the Lords unfailing love surrounds saints" shows that God forgives us because of the satisfaction in Himself. Eternal love of Himself. Gods love obtains the judicial satisfaction of the breach of law. God cannot love a notorious sinner without paying the price for the sin. Without reasonably satisfying the direct consequences. Gods love for Himself that curses all wicked opposition. Candid confession of sin is abundantly satisfied in effective defense of eternal curses. This is a stunning ordinary admission by the Psalmist. It intentionally includes the considerable danger of being promptly captured by his cursed enemies. "many are the woes" vs 10. The Psalmist intentionally introduced in the progressive revelation of the divine law in pronounced curses. He could not take advantage of all the curses in Psalms because he was recording them. We undoubtedly gain a professional understanding in a competed book of pronounced curses. The effective control in containing sin. The earliest book Job had not successful defense in pronounced curses against malicious opposition. The sufficient reason Gods eternal covenant in the private garden to subdue the earth through progressive revelation realistically was in a developed nation that cursed heathen nations by legal war. We steadfastly maintain a national identity of the elected leader. God accurately identifies responsible people in social context of a developed nation. Because moral authority is devolved in blessing or cursing. Why the Psalmist pronounces curses as covenant kings toward their wicked representative. Calvin says if God granted forgiveness for confession He would need to forget we fail in all the law. If God genuinely needed private confession, then commanding us to 70 x 7, generously forgive Christian brothers without humble confession would be apparent hypocrisy. The Psalmist teaches throughout that God does not count our sin. Eternal salvation endures the judicial separation from our sins. Candid confession is not for God but for us The Psalmist did not have a full theology of exercising control of sin by the curses We assert sure control over sin by completed curses. The bible never teaches our lifelong struggle with sin is equal forces. The beloved apostle is respectfully suggesting the lifelong struggle with our depraved nature in meaningfully comparing our former life in bondage to moral law and sin, with the new kingdom life that has promptly ended the laws bondage and sins power. We hitherto are but not yet.
