When we are born into this world, we are not seeking the divine. I'm not sure how it is described in Scripture when it says that a natural person wants to become godly, which remains a noble aspiration, but he does not develop the ability to do this. I don't believe that humans can think of God correctly at any time.Instead, the natural man presents himself as a pagan god, and says in his heart, "Where is your God?" He think no god that looks down on him. Therefore, he rules the victim with impunity. The natural man is always shown in scripture as being in control, according to the criminal standards of this wicked world.Because the Bible naturally gives us a God's pure, complete view of all the personal thoughts from the violent beginning, God carefully follows the wicked heart. He doesn't curse another man because he knows that it would be a challenge to God's power. However, the natural man only entertains rebellious thoughts and stubbornly maintains threats that demand a logical consequence. The man endures a prolonged war with God, and is declared to consume voiceless people as if they were pieces of bread. God pronounces a curse on his life by justly saying that the short-lived success a natural man achieves through digging holes and springing traps against God's people is really digging his own grave. The violent desires of the wicked, though noble in the eyes of the world, will come to nothing. God does not cause people to be destroyed, but they destroy themselves by their own actions because the destructive effects of evil and tragedy are much greater than the benefits of critical thinking. If we don't realize how destructive it is to our natural nature to sever ourselves from God, we have no justification for accepting the new life He offers us on our own. This is exactly how the Bible accurately describes the active life of divine grace. We see how the world appears upside down to God, as He marks it. When we see the events with our own eyes and learn of God's careful description of the wicked thoughts and corrupt intentions of those who do evil, our response is disbelief. The reaction that is appropriate delivers us from ourselves. We can't understand how destructive people can be unwilling to care about God's feelings. This makes us feel enough lack of understanding to be appreciably reduced in stature to allow God all of our lifelong struggles. We cannot rely on ourselves. When we descend to the depths of the shattered world to experience the valuable sacred mystery, it is clear that our powerlessness to reasonably achieve God's attributes in response to the devious course of the heathen world is clear. Our feelings don't come as a surprise. At this moment of devastating destruction, we feel God's view of it all. When we think of God as someone who experiences the just declaration of God in Christ, it is clear that we are very vulnerable to the world's destruction and to changing the course of history. He could not save himself from the fate he had foreseen. It is an over-inflated imagination. What conclusions can we draw if we don't understand a system of justice? How truly does God rule over the private thoughts of wicked men? We know that God is completely just in everything He does. Because of His infinite standards, our limited experience with personal justice is consumed by Him. We would never be able to understand or appreciate how counseling God works.
