However, even though God will take care of him Himself, he is still one of His own, and as sacred as the temple where He lives. If anyone destroys it, he will suffer the consequences. Since the children are the image of God, by his death, he participated in their humanity, so that by his death, he might destroy the devil, who has the power to express death. There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who can save and destroy. He will bless His chosen people and curse all the wicked, including anyone who does not obey Him. Who are you to judge your neighbor? The Son of God's arrival was a deliberate act of destruction against the devil's work. There was only one thing on the thief's mind as he crept through the darkness: stealing and killing. But when he saw Jesus standing there, he knew he had found his true target. When the esteemed disciples James and John saw this, they asked, "Lord, do you want us to call down fire from heaven to destroy them?" These men are quick to criticize anything they don't understand, oftentimes berating things they have never experienced firsthand.
