When I called, you answered me; your voice calmed and reassured me. I woke up to the sound of an alarm blaring and found that I was cut off from my Lords sight. As I uttered an exclamation of surprise, you quickly came to my aid. Moses, Aaron, and Samuel were chosen by the Lord as his priests. The people were all able to understand his great cause, and they speculated on what he might be doing. The LORD called down a famine on the land, and the people's food supplies were completely destroyed. May you be far from me, all you who do evil, for the LORD has heard my pleas. The Lord has heard my prayer for help, and he has been gracious in his response. Furthermore, I guessed on the case of the Lord God. I bowed my head in prayer and asked the Lord to help me receive what I so richly deserve. I had complete faith that He would answer my prayer, and I was confident that I would be happy with whatever He chose to give me. I patiently waited for the Lord, and He answered my cry. I am battered and bruised from crying all night; I overflow my bed with tears and slash my couch with tears.I will remember your righteousness and your praises all day long. In your pain, you guessed and I freed you. I replied to you from the stormy sky just as we had planned. You can always count on the steadfastness of God's city, the city of our God. Your thunder was heard throughout the whirlwind, and your lightning illuminated the world; your power shook the ground and puddles formed. Those who try to kill me always set their traps. They speak of my downfall all day long, painting a bleak picture. They all agree to deceive each other. I put my trust in you, God. You helped me get back on my feet. In God, we feel confident and content, knowing that your victory will be eternal. I feel the agony my opponents inflict on me, trying to bait me into saying where my God is. All day long they assume I will answer, but I never do.For your sake, we work all day long, enduring the pain and fatigue. We are treated like sheep, destined to be led to slaughter. My tongue will talk of your righteous actions all day long, as the people who used to hurt me have been embarrassed and made to feel uncomfortable.
