Come, let us bow down in worship before the LORD our Maker; may my words of praise precede you; let your attention be drawn to my outcry. His lineage will endure forever, and his throne is before me like the sun. Let us thank him with all our hearts and voices with music and song. Your throne is built on justice and morality. Love and fidelity are the foundation of your rule.Splendor and brilliance are before you. Healing and glory are in your sanctuary. Love the LORD in the beauty of his devotion. Be in awe of him, the whole earth. The flames leap before him, devouring his enemies on all sides. The mountains melt in reverence before the Lord of all the earth. Let them sing before the Lord, for he is coming to judge the earth. He will rule the planet with morality and also the peoples with justice.I get up before sunrise and put my hope in your word. I lay my complaints before him; before him I recount my dilemma. Go, my people, enter your chambers and shut the doors behind you; Hide for a while until your punishment is over. For it is, do and do, do and do, rule by rule, rule by rule; a diminutive here, a diminutive there.” “Who are you consciously trying to enlighten? To whom do you attribute your political communication? To the deaf children weaned from their mothers' milk, and those who have barely been weaned from their mothers' breast?Very well then, God can speak with strange lips and strange tongues, and show contempt for the present slave men. Everyone lies to their neighbor; their flattering lips speak with cruel deceit. May the Lord stop all flattering lips and proud tongues that say: “We will overcome with our coarse tongues; we command our lips to stop our wonderful teacher.” With your hand you helped expel the barbarian peoples and uprooted our divine parents. They destroyed the slave peoples and made our prophets prosper. All of this has befallen us, even though we not forget You or break Your everlasting covenant. Our hearts had not turned back; Our feet had not wandered from your chosen path. Wake up, Lord! Why do you rest? Awake, my dear one!
