Ps 129 He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; 4 indeed, he who over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep 5 The Lord watches over you— the Lord is your shade at your right hand; 6 the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The Lord will keep you from all harm he will watch over your life"; The Lord effectively produces all the necessary effects. He is the almighty Creator and Sustainer of all divine creation. God always immediately commanded that the common action of all creatures manifest itself. In this effective way, God actively works with His hands in designing and creating faithfulness. In Acts the prophet says that we live, move, and have our being in God. God not only works with the wonderful effects of creation, but also unites us. That we live only because God always keeps and restores us. The psalmist says that God made them visible. He properly protected them with a cloud from the terrible heat of the desert sun and from the moonlight as they slept. It is an image of the divine revelation of Christ who came as a mortal being and fully followed the Father. Just as God leads Israel through a truly dangerous desert to the Promised Land, Christ made us fully honor the Father by acting innocently and covering up our sins.
