When we talk about the creative work of the Holy Spirit and willing obedience, we are being exclusive in the scriptural way of promptly obeying. We are making a statement about mans work and Gods work in man. Mans way is to believe all he naturally lacks to undertake is to grasp the word of God and trust alone as an intellectual assent. That is to merely advise a convicted person if you pray this personal prayer for Jesus into your sore heart he will come in. Put differently you merely accompanies the word then you intellectuality agree and you are allegedly delivered. This is mans attempt at reluctantly obeying. This inevitably leads to man centered political theology of which we admittedly have in the USA. We genuinely believe that the sacred word and the Holy Spirit work in eternal salvation and sanctification to desired effect the cognitive change. Its not simply prays a personal prayer. It genuinely believes in the heart as Romans say. That is the exclusive focus if you sincerely believe in your engaged heart and humbly confess with your mouth. The key point is those who graciously receive the sound heart powerfully affected will candidly confess with their mouths continually. Genuinely believing is not merely intellectual. It is emotional, a felt aspect which the Spirits effective witnesses with our spirit through the sacred word of God that we are His. A created knowledge that is new spirituality of the lively senses involved, taste touch, hear. The effective height of ardent desire will typically demonstrate the operational level of the faith in a alive person. The more intense desire the more growth. We are not to wait for a significant motion of the Holy Spirit to obey, but we are to be inflamed with desire from the Spirit and the word to obey. Look at the Confession. This is not antinomianism. An antinomian does not believe the moral law carefully applies to him. He merely believes in valued grace and a so-called relationship in Christ that is undefined. But antinomianism, in critical addition, is a personal pick and chooses political theology. An antinomian picks the parts of the scripture he merely agrees with and discards critical parts that do not fit his personal philosophy. Here is an example. This is what is so prevalent today. People call real Calvinist antinomians because Calvinism is so watered down today that they can not distinguish between what is true and what is false. Yet Calvinist graciously accept the absolute sovereignty of God as in Eph. 1. Hence, really Calvinist are biblicist in the proper sense, and they have come to terms with God typically undergoing all the exclusive rights as God. Yet the exact people who claim that Calvinism is antinomian remain merely the sensitive people who themselves are antinomian. They ill befall the suspicious people who cannot respectfully submit to critical portions of sacred scripture because they naturally incline to a warped view of God and then that will carefully translate into a warped view of the moral law. Therefore really pragmatism goes in and out of antinomianism. Merely provide an errant pass to anyone who cannot stomach the absolute sovereignty of God and merely allow that mistaken view of God to falsely represent appropriate practice in the Christian world. They merely believe unavoidable truth does not apply to them even tho the sacred scriptures are clear. Therefore, they overly focus on the outward observance of the penal law and reject essential doctrines that focus on the susceptible heart of the private individual. At that specific point they inadvertently provide everyone who merely agrees with them. An errant pass on not submitting to key portions of sacred scripture. That my dear friend is antinomianism! This absolute sovereignty is critically important you will never understand the precise nature of the moral law in a rational way and the genuine nature of divine grace in a rational way.
