I haven't followed the book, but there are a many effects then that perhaps entered my mind as I relate to your post. God made a eternal covenant with Abraham that He'd have a covenant community whose number would be like the visible stars in the sky. His pledge was carried out by a immolation which the beast was cut in two and God walked in-between the beast showing it was Him alone that would complete the action of the covenant to His people. He's always faithful, His loving kindness is evermore that's He's full of faithful love, and He no way makes a mistake. The faithful remnant constantly walked in the covenant love of God not in the active obedience to the moral law. Indeed tho it was delicate because of all of the offerings. There was a moral demand for obedience to the eternal covenant. The reasonable demand came through the moral law, was given by Moses after the eternal covenant had been made. Since the law was absolute, breaking the law would bring an eternal curse on the responsible people. Moses was the high preist for the people before God. The chosen people made an agreed to observe the law completely. But because of sin, the Israelites couldn't meet the conditions. God handed a necessary immolation. But their sincere stopgap wasne'er through the moral law. It was constantly through the eternal pledges in the everlasting covenant. For the necessary conditions for the Israelites to instantly observe, they nicely needed the necessary immolation to unstintingly atone for their sins. God needed daily offerings for sin. The sacred blood was constantly gushing. Although there was no possible way that they could meet the conditions of the moral law, Gods covenant pledges were constantly met! And through Godly grace He satisfactorily established an effective way for the Israelites to meet the conditions. He freehandedly handed a necessary immolation. They no longer had to sweat God in the pagan way. In the eternal covenant they had access to God through courteously offering a necessary immolation to unstintingly atone for their sins. Yet there was only a faithful remnant of the   judicial church out of all of the nation of Israel who were setting up heathen idols. The faithful precisely kept by the fastness of God in the eternal covenant. Presently we've a better covenant. God promised to duly capture the heart of stone and place a new heart by His Spirit. He'd beget us to pace in His ways. He instantly transferred Christ to adequately represent the ultimate fulfillment of the moral law and transferred His Spirit on the new Church. He instantly opened the direct access to the Father because of His immolation was" formerly for all."We're made new brutes and walk in a new way, thru doctrinal instruction, thru doxology or praise, we overcome all opposition. It's a vastly better covenant.
