This Chorale is directly describing the reciprocal relationship that God maintains with His chosen people within the nation of Israel. In eloquently describing the governing extent that God exercises over all nations the Psalmist always begins by objectively comparing it with Gods licit work in creation. He's saying operative word was fully successful in designing the Godly creation and faithfully upholding it. This same sovereign God who declared all effects into established actuality was the same God who courteously handed the saints His covenants. 4 For the word of the LORD is right and true; he's faithful in all he does". 6 By the word of the LORD were the welkin made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth." The Psalmist is precisely tutoring God divinely ordains whatsoever comes to pass in eternity. He reliably determines the specific purpose of every one and a thing that live duly includes specific studies and conduct. 13 From welkin the LORD looks down and sees all humanity; All reality is spoken hypercritically from eternity history and is worked out through His laws, covenants, comprehensive statutes, pledges and curses. The king is declaring autonomous sovereign- boat over the barbarian nations by the absolute power of the terrible curse that surrounds the joyful state of the saints.12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his heritage." When the Psalmist teaches that Gods people are blessed in the paternal heritage he's not simply talking about the gift of the land, but about the state of Godly grace they authentically enjoy. Lawful authority to over rule all foolish opinions and scandalous words that review Gods axioms. The authoritative pronouncements of the Psalms in blessing and cursing over rule all events in literal time. 16 No king is saved by the size of his army; No legionnaire escapes by his great strength.17 A steed is a vain stopgap for deliverance; despite all its great strength, it can not save". 18 37 I pursued my adversaries and caught them; I didn't turn back till they were destroyed. 38 I crushed them so that they couldn't rise; they fell beneath my bases. 18 41 They cried for help, but there was no bone to save them-to the LORD, but he didn't answer.42 I beat them as fine as dust borne on the wind; I poured them out like slush in the thoroughfares". The Psalmist Is precisely describing the literal environment of God as our "Rock". He's not inescapably talking about his heroic capability in a fleshly war. He's talking candidly about the extraordinary capability of saints to make war through His sacred word! 18 30 As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is indefectible. This is eagerly espoused from Ps.12 And the words of the LORD are indefectible, like tableware meliorated in a furnace of complexion, purified seven times." In Psalm 12 he's objectively comparing Gods work in speaking all effects into peaceful actuality with sacred word and Spirit in authority that courteously allows and forcefully prevents through His authoritative pronouncements. The artistic environment of the indefectible nature of the "word" is courteously allowing and forcefully precluding through the Godly blessing and cursing. God has designedly made His considered saints like Himself. In our adaptive response to the literal events of this wicked world the sacred fire of Gods blessing and cursing consumes our considerable success and passionate wrathfulness in prostrating all opposition. We aren't under the logistical constraints of a nonstop process. We precisely bring Gods eternal government to bear on this created earth through sacred word and Spirit. We speak eternal pronouncements.
