Esther 2:11 Every day he walked back and forth near the courtyard of the harem to find out how Esther was and what was happening to her." God used Esther to deliever the Jews from destruction. She was part of a group that paraded themselves before the kings court to show off their beauty.Esther 2:15 When the turn came for Esther (the girl Mordecai had adopted, the daughter of his uncle Abihail) to go to the king, she asked for nothing other than what Hegai, the king's eunuch who was in charge of the harem, suggested. And Esther won the favor of everyone who saw her. Esther 2:17 God used the kings atraction to he body to make her the queen. Now the king was attracted to Esther more than to any of the other women, and she won his favor and approval more than any of the other virgins. So he set a royal crown on her head and made her queen instead of Vashti." We can see Esther body was pampered with the perfumes in a harem of the kings wives. 2 12 Before a girl's turn came to go in to King Xerxes, she had to complete twelve months of beauty treatments prescribed for the women, six months with oil of myrrh and six with perfumes and cosmetics. Evedently the king was a bit of a teetotaler
Esther 5:6 As they were drinking wine, the king again asked Esther, "Now what is your petition? It will be given you. And what is your request? Even up to half the kingdom, it will be granted."
Genesis 38:11Judah then said to his daughter-in-law Tamar, "Live as a widow in your father's house until my son Shelah grows up." For he thought, "He may die too, just like his brothers." So Tamar went to live in her father's house." Judah was to fulfill his covenant obligations to have child with Tamar. He sent her away. She finds out Judah is looking for a prostitute in Timnah. She dresses and sits in the place of a prostitute.13 When Tamar was told, "Your father-in-law is on his way to Timnah to shear his sheep,"38 14 she took off her widow's clothes, covered herself with a veil to disguise herself, and then sat down at the entrance to Enaim, which is on the road to Timnah. Judah has a child with her thinking she was a prostitute.38 15 When Judah saw her, he thought she was a prostitute, for she had covered her face.38 16 Not realizing that she was his daughter-in-law, he went over to her by the roadside and said, "Come now, let me sleep with you." Judah said. Genesis 38-40 She is more righteous than I, since I did not give her to my son Shelah. God shows up in many strange places.
