To say you obey commands is to say that you are responsible for failing to meet the demands of perfect obedience.  God cannot accept a person who is not willing to do their best. You failed because you are irresponsible.  Jesus did not do anything wrong because He obeyed the Father. He controls choice and action because He proves that He is responsible to God.
