To charge the king with idol worship would be a capital crime. Covenant oaths are the promise to hate idols. The kings confessions throughout the Psalmist in the response by the curse.

I cried out to him with my mouth as he praised me. The psalmist talks about how God created the world and gave it to mankind as a whole. God kept telling people about his plan to make a nation of people in the land of Israel. That nation was finally established

This promise is for the good of the Earth, and the Earth was given to people so they could work with it and take care of it.  God has revealed  the covenant of creation to the people in a certain place in Israel in a way that is appropriate.

They are national rights like when a legitimate declaration of war is made. The Psalmist is so passionate about the moral law that his national prayers are not rejected like the pagans who have the charge of idolatry against them.

Christians are not called proud, idolatrous or sinners. Christ followers are called saints because Gods gift in salvation are perfect. Christians share sins with the wicked except ra a. That sin is why God terms them wicked, idolaters.

The Psalmist teaches salvation sets us apart unto God. We are made complete. We are already seen as perfect and acceptable. We are becoming like we are. He teaches this as face to face with God. God never turns His face. Never ignores saints.

Certain Psalms stand out inconsistent with the teaching of the Psalms. These verses are routinely proofed texted by well meaning teachers. It would be a curse for God to not hear saints prayers.

A saint is already forgiven, justified, sanctified. God no longer deals with saints by works. Salvation is by grace alone. We dont do anything to receive Gods acceptance. We cannot be more accepted. And we cannot not be accepted. All the commands are by grace not works.

I will warn people. If we are not teaching justification by faith. Identity in Christ by death. Meaning anything we oppose must die in Christ. If we are not teaching gospel in law, covenants, curses, etc. We are teaching Catholicism. Works salvation.

It is a very serious offense to teach works salvation. The apostle wished the entire law would fall on that person. And that wish is until the judgement. You will be proven wrong.

When the Undisputed King goes to war, the Lord will not listen to the wicked shrill cries for help.  The law of God is the way things are, but if someone changes it, they are doing something bad. By redefining the law, it correctly poses a legal threat to a legal country. At this critical moment, the psalmist mocks the wicked with curses.

The law of God defines all relationships. To redefine law is to change Gods value system. This is why God curses idol worshipers. These curses are always Gods response.

66 17 "I cried out to him with my mouth, his praise was on my tongue 20 Praised be God, who neither refused my prayer nor refused me his love!" The psalmist speaks of the gospel in an eternal covenant of creation duly entrusted to man to subdue the fruitful earth. By progressive revelation, God has sufficiently established the covenant of creation in a legitimate nation of Israel. The Davidic Kingdom. They are national rights like calls for war by legitimate declarations of the curse. The psalmist is passionate in declaring for the extraordinary gift of the moral law, that his national prayers are not rejected like the pagans who inevitably have the charge of idolatry against them. The Lord will not listen to their shrill cries for political help when the Undisputed King goes to war. A pagan redefining the law of God inevitably produces dead idols. By redefining the law, it correctly presents the legitimate threat to the legitimate nation. At this critical point, the psalmist mocks the wicked by speaking curses. God does not listen to them. 18 “If I had sin in my heart to heart, the Lord would not have listened; Therefore, if God had not heeded the king's prayers, and he would be negligent in his everlasting covenant of everlasting sacrifice. But Israel is never rejected by God. To be categorically rejected is to be alienated from God, and it is simply to receive the terrible curse of war.
