Christ came to satisfy our need to be the definition of His redemptive purposes, fulfilled in this world through His infinite love. The direction we take in life is to follow Christ in salvation in order to be faithful to Him. Out of sin we seek Christ... Even when we do not understand Him. We scrutinize the important words of the glorious gospel until we accept them willingly.How can we become faithful? When we seek him to save us... And as we grow beneficially in the right knowledge, we get to know ourselves better. His eternal salvation effectively meets our need for Christ.
Salvation in Christ does not depend on anything in us, and we do not expect Christ to adjust our needs to our satisfaction; Eternal salvation is beyond our rudimentary capacity.In fact, the more we need to know about Jesus Christ, the more ritually we will love ourselves.
