The specific question of divine punishment related to eternal curses is absolute. There is a political paradigm of simply living in a terrible curse or living in a divine blessing. The ethical question is: How can divine punishment bless someone? And if God curses all accusers. How can a flawless person be justly punished?
God has spoken and declared that all of scripture is inspirational and productive; now some people will teach that profit must go through our will in order to be profitable. But God does not sit idly on his throne and watch events unfold; God establishes his throne while reigning from heaven; and so God creates absolute speaking at all times. The way God speaks absolutely is to determine everything that happens; Promises, statutes, curses and blessings; Curses are still God's way of preventing the desires of the wicked. The blessing stands for God, who determines the path of the righteous through his wishes.
How does God cause remarkable success and political destruction on this earth? With his creative word, he simply defies the violent desires of the wicked and generously offers everything to the righteous. So when the psalmist took part in the lifelong battles of the Old Testament, the entire Christian experience was in the necessary context of frequent conflict. Righteous and may God put an end to those who resolutely oppose the righteous. Why did God fight the wicked? Because the wicked wanted to destroy the righteous and God with cruelty.
We say that there is a political subtext that we experience indirectly in every direct conflict in our life. This historical conflict is rightly applied to everything that naturally rises against the integral knowledge of God. No particular level of discipline necessarily forces certain parties to join forces. But God is the only one who can wipe out the life of an aggressive person and send him to hell. There is always only one cure and it will find its personal fulfillment in the final judgment. But strict judgment is already absolute from God's arbitrary point of view. So curses were always final. See, God only blesses the righteous.
