The Psalms precisely describe the kind of eternal rest that we should really enjoy in this life; You see it clearly, generally speaking. "The Lord is our Shepherd." Not as an earthly shepherd, but the pastor controls religious and political institutions. The Eternal Shepherd who sits between the cherubim. His glory shines all over the earth. That glory is his ability to make creation exist, to order all things according to his will. People like to bring some kind of responsibility and humble character to Psalm 23, but the tools the Shepherd uses to protect the sheep are indeed analogies of David's character and God's control that bring Israel victories at war. The image of a benevolent shepherd, for from our point of view as his sheep he shows us love by turning his anger away from us. It is a masterpiece of the painting of certainty in Christ, but it is conveyed as a parable.
But in that previous psalm we have opposition to the rest in Christ. The Psalms paint a picture of two types of people who speak completely opposite languages: in one world, God describes them; everything that is produced is a communication of its beauty and glory. Physical, emotional and spiritual attributes are created and function on the communication level.Everything is closely connected through the holy word.
When we are born, we simply represent our own god. We enjoy the noisy world. That word "loud" is not necessarily loud, but it is a language that inevitably comes from political corruption that is overwhelmingly directed against God. God made a world. and rules them But from birth people have conspired to overthrow God's moral order, to rule as god by brute force. We aptly describe them as tyrants who control people through personal guilt, fear, and emotional pain. You see, this pastor beats anything on this political level of aggressive communication.
One of the ways these people overwhelmingly try to dominate others is by constantly talking about the political meaning of actions. You will find that most of the people who move and just shiver are leaders of people who just emphasize political action, action, action. We must shape our lives according to the word of God. Action begins in the thought life. We are not like a robot, and we practice the freedom to think and give preference, but we never activate our body. The psalm represents God explaining to those who strongly oppose him on a much broader level: the degree of God's dominion over the world; he demonstrates his brutal control methods; we utter the law and the curse in our meditation; we ask God to restore unity. so that everyone can experience freedom.
