Pride represent sin and leads to self-reliance, which leads to more sin. Pride hardens us, and instead of heartily rejoicing in Christ, we are logically turned away from the fundamental principles of sovereign grace by our pragmatic political inclinations in our wrong thinking about sufficient justification.
Justification accurately represents an eternal reality in our meaningful relationship with Christ. In heaven moreover, we will always be dependent on Christ. We will worship him because we are righteous because of him. Eternal life is genuinely committed to us the moment we sincerely believe. We rest peacefully from our own works and depend on his completed work. Our new obedience is still tainted, and so we ordinarily require Christ's faithful obedience to be righteous.

We always see ourselves below standard in our perceived moment of most significant obedience. Our lifelong fidelity is so closely tied to Christ that our excellent works do not pose a problem as to why we go to heaven. It's not injurious for our own image. We are not body, soul and spirit, but body and spirit. There is no animal species. Our own image naturally brings fruitful earth and the world system. We are corporeal, yes, but body and mind, so we retain the immediate ability to worship the transcendent.

Ignite the eternal fire of utter depravity and justification by faith and you will promptly burn that pride to the sacred ground. Identity in Christ mutually pledges all the lively faith we can willingly endure. Our good is undoubtedly gained in Christ. And that goodness is the only reason we get eternal life. This is the established paradigm and justified confidence have to sufficiently rest in our patient perseverance. When we go to heaven, enthusiastically receive eternal rewards for good. These rewards will be considered acceptable. Only by His work for eternity.
