Laws, covenants, curses, statutes, promises, and ordinances are at the heart of creation. We use these proclamations to build the kingdom that inhabits us and that extends into the world. They are woven into the fabric of the psalmist's communication. . 37 31 The law of your God is in your heart; their feet don't slip. "The psalmist proclaims the law. What is the purpose of the law? It speaks of all opposition so that our hearts may soften and our feet do not slip. Violence fills the dark places of the earth. God swears to act for us according to his covenant The covenant extends into the darkest parts of the city.
