Christ is wholly human and wholly God, the hypostatic union has no mixture. It is impossible for Him to be  physical parts in the whole universe. God is a spirit. He doesn't have a body like humans. God is inherently eternal. All of his creation. It is good and will last forever in the future, either in its present form or in some other better form.
When the scriptures use the words, eternal life, speaks of the quality of life, not of duration. First, because we could never be ascribed to eternal duration, we had a beginning and our body had a beginning. Christ himself became a man. Christ always existed in the spirit as the Son of God. Christ is the eternal Son of God, who always was but took on a body.In a way, even the body of Christ is not eternal. His humanity had a beginning.
That is why eternal life as a quality of life. It is literally a life in Christ that does not partake in Christ. Eternal life is an identity and a substitute, not a participation. First, we are not ordering the end of God, God's determinations in these relationships within the Trinity and with those who identify with Christ have very little to do with time because God is eternal. He is not subject to time. He sees the end from the beginning.
We were chosen in him before the foundation of the world. We were not selected through participation. We were elected. Salvation came according to his sovereign will and power. You cannot see the will and the power. You can see the effects of will and power.That is what sustains us in Christ, not a participation, spiritually we have the nature of God, we are the temple in which God dwells, not through participation, but through possession, spiritually we have eternal life because we are in Christ . Christ is by right ours, who are in Christ.
