131 2 "But I have made my soul quiet and still." The psalmist teaches that he examines himself to see if he cares about the issues that bother him. 1 My heart is not proud, Lord, my eyes are not proud; I don't worry about big things that are too wonderful for me.I came to the conclusion because my soul is calm that I avoided the noise of the world. That's why my heart is not proud. Our problem is that Christians are prone to ignoring the limits of the covenant. God has promised to give us unlimited spiritual gifts. So our problem is that we trade the bigger things for those that weigh us down. He doesn't say that he has to give up the things that weigh on him. God has provided all the things that lead us to the joys of God's works, that make us happy to forego what burdens us, which is why he calls this transformation that we experience through axioms as weaning and the situations that worry, replaced by the peace that comes from enjoying God's gifts.
