Now this is interesting that the four Angels are holding back the four winds of the earth. I am not sure why this is in the text because it seems to not. But now I am thinking since the words and events set forth in succession actually overlap each other, we are looking at one event set forth in a picture form and then the characters and colors are added in succession. Obviously this is two themes here; the heavenly order and the earthly procession. It becomes clear the earth is going to be renewed, part of this picture of Gods judgment. I think in some ways we enjoy this pictured throughout the story of redemption.  

The angels are Gods messengers who carry out the will of God.These magnificent creatures are most powerful. They are involved with all the monumental events and now we see they essentially are regulating the winds of the earth in their order of providence. From past experience in years of meditating on angel powers in the old testament come to genuinely believe avenging angels personal relationship with saints adequately protect and administer Gods provision. One angel can annihilate a vast army. Substantial power mixed with the invisible movements in unimaginable control of the environment. I believe mighty angels are involved with divine judgment in private lives. The invisible soldier brings considerable confusion and private trouble in the lives and minds of the wicked. Mighty angels are involved with the unpredictable weather patterns and the fierce winds, involved in the personal lives.  

We are carefully looking at the worship in eternal heaven. Observing this timeless exhibition of heaven coming down, described in a time mode.God is all glorious on His throne. His glory is resplendent and beautiful. The divine worship is focused toward the eternal throne of God. The throne with the vision of the glory of God. Consequently, it is attractive unblemished wisdom of God viewed through creatures that surround the throne. Utterly consuming the worshipers in pleasure and praise. But on this side of history, the worship of God goes out to all the earth. The grand procession of authority from heaven. 

God must judge and instantly destroy Satan and his minions. The divine providence of God in acts over creation. Now then these acts of God were done through the unpredictable weather. We know some powerful storms traveled through the dessert and into the city of Israel. The extraordinary power of God, witnessing activity shaping history through these historic storms. Hence, the first response of Gods people observe this dynamic action, bow down and worship God.

The bible portrays these noteworthy events as Gods glory shining over all the earth. So we have this necessary vision of the weather and there is a process compared to Israel prospering in captivity. Israel was withdrawn into captivity, compared to awful weather events. The violence resulting the destruction of the Temple and ravaging of the land. But when Israel prospered. They were secure within their walls. There were no cries of distress in the streets, no breaching of the walls. After the storm there was complete silence. The end of sin and death is the end of turbulence and fear.

The angels are messengers of God, ministers from the turbulence of this world. They protect Gods people in the midst of a storm. They are holding back the winds of the whole earth. This is mighty stunning!Can we picture a completely still earth? Do we sufficiently understand that God will bring an end to this destruction? God will secure rest back to the new heaven and earth! Can you understand that we enjoy ministering spirits now on behalf of Gods people? So powerful they can hold back the entire wind patterns in the earth!Do we know in prayer we vicariously experience this divine influence? We might rest in our Fathers arms recognizing an order from heaven that bears us to the day of salvation!
