Hebrews 12"My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,6 because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son."12 Therefore strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees.13 "Make level paths for your feet," so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed. The author of Hebrews teaches Gods discipline as the reason for the point he is making. What is that point? The specific discipline is the key reason for making level paths for our feet. "Therefore"  connecting the logical argument of discipline with the result in sufficiently establishing statutes to stablize the exposed person who is suffering. The long explanation of the discipline properly answering the need to have a charitable foundation of necessary stability in the church. Too often we focus on the explanation as the point he is merely making which is not correct. It is a huge mistake. This verse "Make level paths for your feet" is taken from Psalm 143 10 Teach me to do your will, for you are my God;may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.11 For your name's sake, O Lord, preserve my life;in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble.12 In your unfailing love, silence my enemies; destroy all my foes, for I am your servant." God forged divine unity as the basis His eternal covenant with gentle saints. God carry out moral law by covenant. The covenant is a binding oath for God to act according to His faithfulness on behalf of saints in fulfilling the law. Every saint is defended by the curse against his opposition. When we neglect the saint who undergoes trials, we are cursing that person. This is why all saints speak eternal curses against organized opposition. Because Hebrews are carefully teaching God discipline us for the specific purpose of sufficiently establishing comprehensive statutes as the charitable foundation of healthy discipline. If we neglect the foundation, we are cursing ourselves Thats what the Psalmist is disputing. We prosecute religious wars. Luther fought with the established church for using scripture out of context. Neglecting the curses is simply religious abuse. People heads are hard as walnuts. I tell them the logic from 40 years of Psalm pronouncing.
