Ps 54 1 Save me, O God, by your name;vindicate me by your might.2 Hear my prayer, O God;listen to the words of my mouth."The Psalmist is teaching in pronouncing law, covenants, curses, decrees, statutes and promises over many years we establish a culture of unity. He passionately defends the pronounced culture by vindicating himself against the organized opposition who inaccurately describes the Psalmist scarcely understanding the authoritative pronouncements. The Psalmist fights war of words against unjustified men in their attempts to create an evil image of him.
54 3 Strangers are attacking me;ruthless men seek my life--men without regard for God." The Psalmist precisely defines the organized opposition who practice ra a. The wicked sin of overturning everything good in society. Every man is naturally schooled in merely defending and falsely accusing others according to their political view of life. We are in a political war against the critical communication of wicked men. We engage in the war, by pronouncing. We discern their intentions by pronouncing. We do not argue. We pronounce life and death.
54 4 Surely God is my help;the Lord is the one who sustains me.5 Let evil recoil on those who slander me;in your faithfulness destroy them." We inevitably encounter men who actively undermine our sacred causes. The world is forcing us in their mold by violent threats and nefarious schemes. It is impossible to reason with violent men who merely speak against the axioms. We must pronounce the eternal curses and overturn their inciting war by arbitrarily defining of us. If we are in conflict with men who persistently deny the authoritative pronouncements, it will alert us to their malicious intentions.
54 6 I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you;I will praise your name, O Lord, for it is good.7 For he has delivered me from all my troubles, and my eyes have looked in triumph on my foes." He is carefully teaching our wisdom, military strategy, modern weapons and specific threats are of no moral value. God uses His pronouncements to eliminate our opposition. We peacefully exercise free will by the authoritative pronouncements.
