God is a refuge in times of trouble. Being in trouble is not foreign to a Christian. The problem is Christians do not take refuge in Christ.A refuge is a place of safety. Having refuge in the spiritual life of a believer is inconsistent.Resting in Christ is an exercise of faith. Resting in the spiritual realm is not an absence of trouble. Its having peace based on faith that overcomes all adversity. It is a battle in the mind will and emotions. If you dwell in a shadow, experience many sensations. You experience a cool breeze, over shadowed by a taller object. You would be covered in that shadow. We get an understanding of the shadows in the mountains and storm. The clouds block the sunlight on a warm day.The planets block the moons light at night. Any loftier thing than our vision accompanies safety if we dwell on these cosmic objects.

The highest being in the visible universe accurately represent God. You visualize immediate places and things high, imagining from that unique perspective beyond this observable universe. God overshadows from the highest point.Nothing gets beyond Him. In these specific terms intentionally creates an ultimate refuge. Nothing is more significant than God. Looking at these objects of safety, providing the ultimate refuge.Think presently about the highest being sitting on His throne with His footstool as the earth. The ability He has to govern the universe. He could throw down hail, shoot lightning, blast snowstorms, shoot arrows at His enemy, send storms over the earth and blow a breeze. As He sits on the highest throne, reach down and pull you out of trouble.Come down as a mighty warrior enacting punishment on the wicked. There is nothing outside of His grand vision. He could come down as a mighty warrior and release you from anything that threatens you.

Now this is the picture of Gods refuge. How can we rest thinking of Gods highest throne? At some point it would become personal to us. If we conceived of God as the highest being who does these things it would only give us reasons to trust. He must be owned as our God. Our Savior confessed on our lips. We speak of the great God who is Most High refuge! God displays power daily seen by the whole world. Yet they become a personal benefit as a Christian. What would we consider a threat to our well being? It comes in the snare. The traps set by an enemy. What causes snares in our lives? Our sin, peoples plots, accusations from friends, and traitors. Now from the towering objects in our world, we go to thinking of Gods throne as the most high vision works power everyday.
Refuge remains a sacred place of confident trust in the midst of these snares. It is a finite vision tried. We follow considerable trouble within and without. The adversarial experience in taking refuge. Eternal peace invariably comes when we rise by unshakable faith as we look in the familiar face of personal trouble.Faith is like defending shadows, resting peacefully in Christ. A welcome refuge is constantly available. We vicariously experience lasting peace in value place of welcome refuge. We attractively value refuge by spending time vicariously experiencing. In abiding faith we plead the sacred promises, carefully looking at the unavoidable circumstances, casting ourselves on Christ in earnest prayer. We intentionally walk by divine grace as we sufficiently rest in Christ. We do not trust in our own abilities but miraculous deliverance.
