You are confusing the functional relationship to the law and typical power of  law to believers. The word bound is not in a believers vocabulary. The law is no longer a school master. We are not bound to the law. The law efficiently produces death. It typically works with our moral conscience to justly condemn us. We have effectual working the way we vicariously experience life. The law accurately reports our sin. Conscience promptly notifies us to guilt. The law and conscience work conviction of the Holy Spirit and gracious action of divine forgiveness.

The law and conscience work to produce death in us. You possess a clean conscience, but not blameless. If we say we bear no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. There is no time where we are free from sin. The moment we believe we are clear of sin, we sin.We deceive ourselves by making the law comfortable. We would enjoy an emotional peace geared toward self-fulfillment. The peace scripture offers, remain the law containing sin. We regard ourselves by the voice of conscience in laws containment through grace. Unless a Christian comes to properly understand the moral conscience in the laws containment of sin, will always misapply divine forgiveness. We will be accountable for a graver sin of unbelief.

If we maintain a struggle with a condemning conscience, will work more sin in our lives. Because the conscience and law endures not the living way to become righteous. There is only one remedy.Turning to Christ for divine forgiveness and miraculous power to change. This is the fundamental freedom we are talking about. It is affectionately dubbed sovereign grace. It is really free, really free, really free. There is no reasonable limit on the considerable amount of divine forgiveness,  no sin great enough for sufficient grace, no continence of sin nullifies grace. Once a person genuinely believes, life in Christ is dependent on the Trinitarian work to prevent us. God works for us to will and do until the end.

We are not looking toward preservation of the saints as a effective remedy of a trouble conscience. Preferably, preservation of dear saints is the fuel turning to Christ. Answering to the law and moral conscience, silencing the condemning voice of conscience. The sacred name of Christ is a mighty tower. His name is pronounced because He works for us. No sin will proactively work for our personal destruction. Sin cannot intentionally hide behind terrible guilt. He will avenge those who accuse us of sin no matter how much we struggle. That is the official doctrine of preservation! God is ready to acquit and receive us. We merely need to be contrite and adequately express a dependence on Him. There is nothing else in us He needs to triumphantly vindicate His name.
