Painting the picture of old testament worship within the walls of the temple is not consistent with history. In historical fact Israel occupied more considerable time in the heathen nations. Their worship book described Gods house as the earth. His mighty throne is in heaven and sets His feet on the created earth. The moment we set God in a box we make a god. We can be very disciplined in representing some extremely attractive knowledgeable gods. Its not enough to intentionally break the sacred text up and adequately explain the words.You scarcely controlling God in controlling the truth.The Psalmist practiced carefully manipulating the law, covenants, curses, decrees, statutes and promises. He is pronouncing a new creation. We declare, What represents the new creation? It is Gods responsibility to create His authoritative pronouncements. We have very little truth in divine revelation. God is infinitely detailed. Why try to typically control the truth and practical application when we pronounce new desires of people? We pronounce the moral judgement on the earth. We typically command kings? We live in an ideal kingdom pronouncing the kings control.The truth is we don't apprehend God until we are completely consumed.We cant control God. Most people become unglued when God is mysterious. They naturally want the play book. But we meet divine mystery. We get no answers; we have no where to turn. I was more intimate with God in a hurricane than most of the controlled services. We must be subjected to everything being blown away, turned upside down We must be comfortable with mystery.
