Many reasonable people define our meaningful relationship with others as some kind of organized conspiracy. As if we are arguing for our own fit being. But this is why we genuinely need to know how to pray earnestly directing our eyes on the one goal. When we are persistent, we will irritate countless people. The sole way to become good at the noble craft of heartfelt prayer is to recite by heart the sacred text over and over again. We are making pronouncing the Psalms, an ordinary habit. After many successful years, the kings language becomes a part of us. We will coherently speak in a stream of creative consciousness. We can properly focus our sore eyes on everything that devalues mans works and increases the considerable value of Christ. We need to resolutely push against the prevailing winds of the modern times and overcome everything that oppose us.

We reasonably find over the years that most people draw back when faced with their own destructive tendencies that either increase in the day of the trial or are hauling them deeper into sin. But we must be bold in our desperate approach to God. We must stealthily approach this Christian prayer like an Olympic boxer. This is why we voluntarily undertake the considerable training very seriously. We pronounce in the same way a boxer throws a vicious punch. But we are not opposing someone who wants to merely propel us to the canvas. He desperately wants to shatter our lively faith with a punch to the venerable head. So we constantly approach the prolonged conflict with developed skill to evade the fatal blow.

This is why it is cherished to be as wise as a serpent and as harmless as a dove. We do not fight against flesh and blood. But I would not misapply this as there is a devil under every rock. That would not only be foolish, but it would be to our personal disadvantage. Alternatively, we actually should spar a bit in private. Periodically, these meditative prayers get rather violent and destructive. If your not in spiritual warfare of some unique kind then your probably not very serious about the glorious gospel. We can accurately compare official prayer to being in a boxing match working up a profuse sweat with much battered body and bloodied head punching in hitting the mark. Our authoritative pronouncements should be effective shots to the devils head. If we pray articulating our own arguments we grow weary and eventually we will drop to the canvas.

Therefore, we are in a head to head conflict with an enemy who will attack our most vulnerable spots. And we are fighting doggedly in His superior strength because when we are in the middle of the fierce fight and we are struggling with sin the enemy will inevitably force us to be timid. But we engage in the arguments to demonstrate the spiritual fight has already been won.We engage the enemies in pronouncing his demise. If our victory was merely in our own power we would allow the enemy to advance stealthily. But because Christ has already decided the outcome,  He alone is drawing them into conflict that their success and failures curse them.Consequently, we train like a boxer focused on the prize. And we do not use our own wisdom but the axioms tear down strong holds and everything that sets itself up against the knowledge of God. We declare the pronouncements that rise into an intense battle. Throwing punches that hit the mark with every cry like a spiritual boxer with an intense focus on dropping our opponent. We are confident he will turn and run.
