Balak summons Balaam to come so that he could properly instruct Balaam to curse Jacob who was Gods inspired prophet. God instructs Balaam to go to Balak. But as Balaam was traveling on the road to recieve his explicit instruction from Balak it promptly announces an Angel of the Lord appeared on the direct road to promptly stop Balaam. Balaam tries to elude the Angel but is forced to promptly stop. This is fascinating because the Angel prophecies through the mouth of the donkey.

You remember Jacob was respectively the Prophet who wrestled with the angel of the Lord and prevailed. God did His supernatural work through Jacob so that he could represent the one who enforce Gods covenant faithfulness in the minds of His, saints. Because of Jacobs impressive display of strength, he customarily represented a hero among the whole nation. He was the covenant God of Jacob.

This is what is interesting because this Angel of the Lord who is summoned as a spiritual body guard to defend David. Psalm 35 5 This demonstrates the prophets knew that Jacob subdued this Angel enabling them to command God for protection. So even tho this Angel is not opposing Balaam but providing the prophet with the message not to curse the Lords anointed. The cursing from a wicked man is Gods warning against using sorcery taught in the account of Saul. This is not the cursing of the law the Prophets employed in screening Gods people. And here is a distinction for us. In this story we know who represents God because the scripture makes it plain. But in our circumstances we do not receive this declaration that every person who employs the word Christ remain in fact a sincere believer.

This historical account represent clearly a official teaching about Gods paternal government which is accurately described by defamatory words employed by evil men miss-representing God by intentionally distorting Gods word. You undoubtedly have this false prophet who is wielding the legitimate Prophets authority to actually slander Gods peaceful people. Straight away this is critically significant. Every historical account that is passed on must be true to all of Gods sacred word. Gods word is supernaturally a prophetic pronouncement backed up by the curses.
