The Apostle says in Romans 7:9 Once I was alive apart from the law but when the commandment came sin sprang to life and I died."The apostle was teaching when we are delivered we are identified with Christ in His death and resurrection. We were "baptized in His death and rose to newness of life"
What remains the effective means by which we were put to death? We were justly condemned by the law and received the sentence of everlasting death. The legitimate powers that work in man are not guilt, fear and sorrow. The judicial power that results in the moral destruction of the soul is the eternal curse of the law. Our personal struggle goes beyond our corrective actions that do not measure up to the law. There is a considerably deeper voice of necessary destruction that rises up from the mysterious recesses of our struggling souls. The curse of the law was intricately woven in our corrupted flesh to awaken the precise standard of the law. Without the curse, the law could be lowered and blindly controlled by wicked man.

The curse of the law is the reality that awakens the new self in Gods elect. You see we were created by God according to the standard of Gods law. We are the example and the visible beauty of Gods handiwork. We are the glory of God because we exhibit Gods perfect work of creation. We were not made to be satisfied with our inconsistencies and failures.Our smallest corruption incites the voice of the curse that rises up to pronounce the sentence of death. The only hope of satisfaction in this life is the reality that life must come out of death. The real threat is not outside of us. All of the weight of sorrow comes up from the deepest recesses of our soul. This is why the apostle says that Christ death was our only hope of escaping the dread of slowly being destroyed by the voice of the curse. We needed someone to enforce the laws power to kill the opposition.

If we maintained some way to command the voice of the curse then we could overcome all opposition. Because the curse that pronounces death to law breakers is the virus that has entered the entire human race enforce the power of death to ruin other men. Not merely develop the voice of the curse threaten the saints from within but it is shouted out in this world by the wicked. We needed Christ to enforce the laws power, communicating us ability to curse the wicked curse. We can wholly be satisfied with staunchly defending the new man in us by the eternal curse of the law. We must offer the slaughtered animal that we have ruthlessly slain by the curse.
