Israel as Gods people were objectively compared to a productive vine that produces abundant fruit. The cultural prosperity of the fruitful vine was dependent upon the adequate protection it enjoyed.Consequently, every civilized nation had to construct a impenetrable wall, so the formidable enemy could not advance against the capital city. This apt comparison is when the continuous wall was broken down then the preserved fruit was arbitrarily picked by anyone who passed by. Not only is it susceptible to foreign invasion, but the ferocious animals would ravage it. As a negative result of the unfortunate lack of suitable protection, the productive vine began inevitably dying.

This ostensibly means the vine accurately represents the life of the developed nation. It could moreover be that the vine as a unique growing plant properly speaks of the meaningful connection and social unity of the chosen people. This life producing cultural force is absolutely the kind of effective communication that unified the civic life as it spread across the peaceful nation and into foreign countries. The detail in sacred scripture is properly focused on the reliable source of the social connection. The source of the fundamental unity accurately represents the unique connection in the revealed word of God. All the words are inseparably connected as a vine and supernaturally produce the life as they are employed in the culture of Israel.

The sacred word as a protective life graciously giving the essential attributes efficiently delivers us. It accurately communicates life. In faithfully delivering us, it staunchly defends us from the relentless opposition. Within, the vine represents itself the social culture of Israel. This is why it is properly preserved by the impregnable wall. There is nothing outside of the single communication of eternal life that travels through the fruitful vine that can efficiently produce life. The vine is dependent up the extraordinary success of the sacred word.

Therefore, the psalmist witnessed the vine dying. What was his impassioned cry? It was by heart pleading to God that the impenetrable walls would not be broken down. The Psalmist was envisioning a day of deliverance in which the vine would be restored to its health. As it was universally seen over the local hills and through the fertile valleys of Israel. The Psalmist was pleading God would look on the great Deliverer and be graciously pleased by His work to revive the peaceful life of the productive vine. And when the fruitful vine was revived then the chosen people would begin once more to universally call on the name of the Lord. In this historical context the nation would genuinely enjoy the light of the pristine glory of God shining brilliantly on them once again.
